I have signed up to speak at the March 6, 2007 school board meeting...where they will only allow you 3 minutes to speak?!? YES folks, that's THREE minutes.
AND you MUST follow STRICTLY the guidelines set forth [/color]in this legalese sounding 2 minute paragraph they say they have to read you before they can sign you up - which I requested in writing by hard copy or email immediately on Tues, Feb 20th @ 9am from [as of RIGHT NOW] an unnamed CPS employee, in order to utilize my measley 3 minutes effectively and not break the rules.
this employee gave me a VERY hard time about not wanting to send it to me - of course, that was never SAID, but when she tells you she'll have to "check on it" several times and then you follow up with "you have a hard copy IN YOUR HANDS that you just read to me...can you please throw it on the copier and send it out to me today?" and she still says she'll have to check to see if it's available, you begin to get a little suspicious...and for the record, a little p'd off!
i ended the call (nicely, hard as it was!) stating CLEARLY that i'd expect to receive it w/in a DAY or 2 by email or hardcopy.
that being tuesday, i called this morning (friday) and spoke w/said unnamed employee again and said i had not received it and would like to check to make sure it went out. she said "i'll have to check and see if she got it out." i say ok and give her my number and ask her to call back and let me know (8:32am 2/23).
i'll follow up w/ results for the record
[this unnamed CPS employee who seems to give MANY other parents aside even from me the RUNARAOUND constantly! as you can probably tell, i'm posting this in order to keep a running log of the delays, excuses & put-offs that i experience EVERY time i call CPS. please be advised that i''ll be starting to publish names if these situations continue in order to expose these runarounds!!!!]
update: 2/23 @2:30pm, just called [unnamed CPS employee] back so the day wouldn't get away from me without finding out if the info had gone out yet since she hadn't called back yet. she said "it went out today." hope so, as it should have went out on tuesday being as i spoke with her @ or before 9am!! seems like yet another case of hanging up the phone and forgetting all about it[/color] to me.
