When I first put this site up, a poster to this board, raised a valid point, saying this site is all about complaining. True. Sort of. Sometimes however, it becomes necessary to keep complaining until you are heard. Sometimes you even have to whine or scream really loud. True also, in MANY cases of trying to get CPS to immediately act on safety issues regarding Columbus students whether public or charter school students in their care.
In addition to PARENTS and STUDENTS, we also want to hear from other GROUPS and ORGANIZATIONS working on safety related issues or complaints regarding the Columbus Public School System. We will offer real human bodies to help with public shows of support for your safety related causes, to help spread the word, share resources and useful contacts & info with you!
This site will now be a hub of organization and collaboration of efforts and resources for us all.
Operating in an individual and fragmented way, we can't change this corrupt and dangerous system quickly. Together, we can.
I hope as this progresses, we will collectively be able to offer suggestions for solutions and gain quicker action on individual safety situations, and that somehow we are able to help cut through the BS to provide a safer experience for ALL Columbus students experiencing dangerous circumstances that COULD be avoided (in most cases), simply by using a little common sense and networking with various agencies and citizens to get the problems solved.
