My children are grown but one of my Grandchildren will start school next year and this is a major concern of our family. She has asthma and being out in the cold weather is VERY hard on her. I remember how bad it was when my girls were in school (boy I feel old ...lol)....it worried me to no end about them walking...... I live in the [hidden location] end and my girls went to [hidden school].......we lived just passed the [hidden location].....if you are familiar with that area of town....then you know that is a VERY long walk to [hidden school] and a dangerous one also....there was more then once that someone caused trouble to girls walking to and or from school in this area and that was in the good weather.......and when I remember them walking in the bad weather.....it was horrible (I drove them to school as much as I could..but they had to walk home because I worked)......most people do not have their sidewalks cleaned and walking in the streets isn't safe...trust me..... I thanked God every day when they made it home safely..... I feared they would fall and hurt themselves. I don't know what I can do to help you right now......BUT.... I do have many friends and can spead your word via the net.....
